The cell

- The cell is the basic and most important building block of any living organism.
- Cells are split into eukaryotes and prokaryotes. The former are characterized for having genetic material within their nucleus and the latter have no nucleus.

Tissues and organs

- Tissues are a group of cells with a specific structure that join together to carry out the same task.
- The result of the union of different tissues that carry out a specific function gives life to organs.

Mitosis and meiosis

- Mitosis is a process where eukaryote cells have the capacity to split up, transferring their characteristics and originating two daughter cells.
- Meiosis is a process that forms sex cells (spermatozoa and ova). They are obtained with half of the chromosomal material.
