In the mixed forest, some trees keep their leaves all year, like pines. Others let them fall during the autumn, like poplars, willows and oaks.
But before the leaves fall, they lose their chlorophyll (it is a green pigment that captures the sun light), that is, they lose their green color. With this experiment you will see, in an artificial way, how some leaves change color.
