Menstrual cycle

– The menstrual cycle begins on the first day of menstruation and ends the day before the following menstruation, making up a cycle of approximately 28 days.
– The ovarian menstrual cycle is coordinated by hormonal activity. Hormones prepare certain structures for the possible arrival of a fertilized embryo.
