El ser humano tiene muchos tipos de células y cada una cumple una función específica. Por ejemplo, las células óseas mantienen la estructura ósea; las epiteliales están, en la piel y en las mucosas del tubo digestivo, entre otros, y los eritrocitos recogen el oxígeno de los pulmones para llevarlo a todas las partes del cuerpo.
